What I ordered for lunch today – Chilled Noodles served with dipping sauce and crispy battered prawns and assorted vegetables at Sakae Sushi!

Menu Cover
It has been a while since I patronised Sakae too. Surprised to discover that there is actually a sushi drive-through service at this outlet! People staying the west are so fortunate to have one more option for drive-through other than fast-food. 🙂

My Tenzaru, $13.99 with Cha Soba.
I usually do not go for chilled food so not too sure what made me order this today. Perhaps I just wanted somethig different today. 🙂 Since I wanted noodles and feel like eating tempura, this was the only option that was available. Something seems to be missing from the items placed on the table and it was after I checked the menu and pointed out to the staff that spring onions, seaweed and sesame was missing did they realise it! Haiz.

Close up of my tempura of 2 prawns and assorted vegetable.

The missing condiments. The soba taste is just not complete without these!

My add-on of a chawamushi against my col that came with her set.

Close up of the chawamushi.
There are crab meat and fish roe on top of the steamed egg with some transparent fins which resembles fake sharks fin. Though plain, I quite like how the chawamushi was served here. 🙂

Another col’s Unagi Tama Don, $15.99.
Looks so good and tempting!

Sakae has also ventured into serving korean food at its outlet – Spicy Chicken Bibimba, $14.99, served with Miso Soup. You can complete the meal with Salmon Sashimi and Chawanmushi at $5.99 extra which I feel is really value for money. If you are eating this, be very careful when you are picking up the fork and spoon as they are really very hot, being heated up the hot stone bowl. Staff should take note and not place the metal cutlery on top of the sizzling bowl.

Spicy Beef Bibimba, $15.99.
Looks so appetising and healthy! Regretted not ordering this!

The sauce is served by the side so you can adjust the spiciness according to you preference.

Decent and prompt service and you can even book one of the few rooms available to have a private lunch by just spending a minimum of $250, a figure not too difficult to hit if you are in big groups. 🙂 For the list of promotions, click here.
