Restaurant Week 2015 – Salt grill & Sky Bar @ Ion Ochard

Another Restaurant Week Meal! Am very pleased with this meal at Salt grill & Sky Bar at Ion Orchard that I do not know which picture to use as my thumbnail! I shall just let the pictures do the talking (with just a little, irresistible description!) as the food & ambience is as good as it looks in the pictures!

The Restaurant Week Menu for $40++ per pax for an entree, main course, dessert and coffee/tea. Vegetarian options are available too.

To further enhance the experience, indulge in some wine, non alcoholic cocktails and sides.

My order of Passion Love – Soursop puree, fresh passionfruit, topped gingerale, shaken.

Would have opted for a wine if I did not have to go back to work after the meal!

PB’s Strawberry Sling – apple, pineapple, strawberry puree and topped soda which was a tad sweet

Entree – Baby Vegetables, truffled mayo, onsen egg

Cutting open the yolk and it holds its shape but is still soft! Love it!

Entree – Pork Croquette, picked red onion, gribiche, lemon puree

Surprised by the amount of pork in the croquette! It was tender on the inside and yet crispy on the outside. You gotta try it! Love the lemon puree too! The smell is so fresh and the flavour is perfectly balanced!

Poached Prawn, coconut yoghurt, nam jim, puffed rice

Crossed the boundary to take this picture. 😛 I can already imagine the textures on this plate!

Main course – Braised Beef Brisket, carrot puree, hazelnut granola, pickled radish

Love the idea of the hazelnut granola on top of the beef brisket. It may be a little on the dry side but eating it with the puree balanced it out.

Main Course – Pan fried Snapper, cauliflower puree, prawn & bacon a la meuniere

Some many elements in this dish! Love the crispy edge and beautifully cooked fish.

Dessert time – Berrylicious

Perfectly balanced, not too sweet nor tart. A dessert perfect for summer! 🙂

Who can say no to that?

Salty sweet is how I would describe this dessert.

Try it out and you will know what I mean 🙂 YUMZ!

The meal was wrapped up with coffee/tea which I forgot to take a pic of. Service was pleasant, the view was gorgeous and food was perfect! Total bill for 4 of us came up to $254.23 as we had a drink each. Without the drinks, the lunch is $40++ per person which I feel is a very good price to taste the meticulously prepared and paired food. Will be back again soon if my pocket allows it or for the next special occasion 😉
