Qin Ji Rougamo 泰記内夹馍 @ Jurong Point Shopping Centre

Finally got to eat my “crispy prata meat bun”!

Missed trying this when I last went Taiwan and happened to chance upon pictures of this food on Grab and decided to look for it at Jurong Point since I am heading there to run some errands.

Located on the third floor of the “new” wing, the eatery is on the same stretch as Collin’s and Starbucks.

The eatery was pretty empty when I arrived.

Menu is simple here and other than the meat bun, they have noodles too.

6 options of crispy baked bun with freshly braised meat for you to choose from. It is the Chinese version of hamburger/sandwich/prata which you can grab and go too.

My Set D

I opted for a set since the noodles called out to me as well.. hahah

C2. Grass Jelly Milk Tea 仙草奶茶

I chose the grass jelly milk tea over the soya bean milk or orange soda. It is not too sweet and the grass jelly taste very home made. Nice drink to accompany the meal.

A3. Cumin Pork Rougamo 孜然肉来篠

The meat bun that come with the set.

Crispy on the outside and full of flavoursome meat on the inside!

So full of meat! Yumz!

B8. Pickled Cabbage Fish with Rice Noodles 酸菜鱼米线

Had a hard time deciding between the sour and spicy potato noodle with mix pork and this picked cabbage fish with rice noodle and am glad I went for this.

Crispy chickpeas to give the additional texture.

Love this rice noodles! Despite soaking in the hot soup for a while ( while I chomp on my Chinese hamburger), it retains its bounciness and QQ texture! Somewhat like the potato noodles but less rubbery. 👍🏻❤️ The spicy and sour kick in the soup is definitely what one would look for on a cold rainy day.

View from where I sat

The tables and seats were very small. Probably because the food served here is very simple and something that people will chomp down and move on very quickly. Ventilation was not that good and it got a bit hot after slurping the noodles and soup.

Best seller in the eatery

No1 seller was QinJi Rougamo秦记肉夹馍 , No2 sour and spicy potato noodles 招牌酸辣粉 and No3 Cold noodles skin 西安大凉皮 which I will be back to try!

Total bill is $16.90 nett which is inclusive of 9% GST, no service charge as everything is very much self service here. Not too cheap nor too expensive but a nice comforting meal that is reminiscent of home especially for the Chinese students studying in NTU? 🙂
