We went to check out the newest mall in Malacca – The Shore Shopping Gallery, that has opened on 01 Dec 2014. Was a little disappointed as many of the food places are not ready and other than the anchor tenant Tangs and a few specialty retail outlets, the place would be classified as “in progress” for me so if you are planning a visit, I would suggest going in 2015. Worthy of mention is the World’s Longest Aquarium – Melaka Oceanarium, which will go into my “To-Visit” list for my next Malacca visit.
As the children were a little hungry, we went to hunt for some snacks that can fill their stomach. We found 2 stalls selling food that can easily satisfy them and one of them really caught my eye.
Q Zai’s Hong Kong Eggette calling out to me! 😛 Who can resist these ball-shaped pancake that are so popular in Hong Kong?! There were so many flavours for me to choose from as compared to Hong Kong! *Drools*

There are so many flavours to choose from! Black Sesame, Oreo, Sweet Corn, Chocolate Chip , Cheese, Green Tea, Peanut, Oat and of course the Original one costing from RM3.50 to RM5.20. Recommended flavours are original, chocolate chip and cheese.
The staff preparing the eggette that I ordered by first placing a thin layer of batter in the pan and then scooping in the ingredients. Can you guess which flavour I chose? 😉

My Corn Eggette, RM4.70
It is not as round and curve as those you get in Hong Kong.

Despite its less than perfect shape, it tastes great! Every ball you eat has at least one sweet corn in it. Yumz.. I do wonder if it will be more juicy if he had added fresh corns instead of frozen ones..
The eggette was so yummy that we ended up buying more flavours to try.

Cheese Eggette, RM5.20
This is the most expensive item on the menu but the taste is so worth it! Powdered cheese was used to make this and where the cheese was, you get savoury bites contrasting the sweet batter. Thumbs up!

Do give it a try if you happen to be there but be prepared to wait as they are all freshly made and it takes some time to cook 🙂
