Instead of exercising, I am eating!! Haha.. How can my brain not think of a bowl of steaming hot ramen in this cold weather and at the same time, seeking shelter from the rain? It was a tough fight between the glutton and the health buffs in me and the glutton won :p

I walked towards the upper levels of AMK Hub hoping that I would be disappointed in finding any restaurants selling ramen but the health buff in me was sorely disappointed as I spotted an advertisement along the way screaming Ajisen Ramen Dining at Level 2.

Entrance – very open concept sitting area

The anniversary special luring me into the restaurant. The gyozas in there did the Job! Been a little crazy over gyozas recently after my trip from Japan 😛

The menu and order pad when you are seated

Browsing through the menu and deciding that the Ramen Sets were more worth it.

You could add on side dishes and there is Gyoza in it too!

And so, I ended up with the above! 😛

The order chit will be printed and placed on your table

So here is my ramen set consisting of my choice of Cha Shu Ramen, a side – baby octopus, and a drink – hot houji tea, for $13.90++.

Close up of the refillable Hot Houji Tea.
Very light but still has the roasted green tea smell.

My sides – Baby Octopus that came with the set and 5 Pieces of Gyozas, $3.90++ that I added on. So greedy right? 😛

They were actually a little big and there were about 3-4 pieces on them on the plate

My Gyozas

Cross section of the Gyoza.
I could do with more vingear sauce to dip my gyozas in to cut the greasiness. I felt that it could have been a little more crispy too.
By the time my ramen came, I was already semi full from my sides 😛

Cha Shu Ramen
I was actually expecting an onsen ajitama! Silly me! Ajisen is a chain ramen outlet and having half a flavoured boiled egg coupled in the ramen should be a bonus already. 😛 The meat, though not melt in your mouth, should be enough to satisfy most people. The soup, noodles and beansprouts were all I needed in this cold weather… If you ever have a craving for ramen, you should be able to find an Ajisen Ramen outlet in one of the shopping malls near you since they have 18 outlets across Singapore. If you want to cook your own ramen at home, they have it for sale too.
