This was what we came for! Charcoal Fishhead Steamboat!
A long queue has already formed at the ordering counter of Tian Wai Tian Fish Head Steamboat!
Being my first time here, I was lost but basically, what you need to do is to secure a table number, queue to order and pay for your food and they will deliver to your table after that.
Luckily we had a reservation and they had already set the table for us.
Food was served quite quickly after that.
Fish Head Steamboat with Groupa 红斑鱼头炉 (Medium), $32
Close up of the few pieces of fish meat in the soup.
Soup top up are free but it taste significantly different from the very first pot so do get a sip of the original one before topping up. Service wise was pretty lacking as they were running at full capacity and we had to do the topup of the pipping hot soup from the kitchen ourselves!
Coffee Pork Ribs 咖啡排骨 (small), $9
Very delicious coffee pork ribs that was tender and juicy. The coffee taste was just right.
Braised Sea Cucumber with Mushroom 海参香菇(Large), $16
Something that I usually do not eat but ordered for the old folks. 😛
Fried Oyster Egg 蚝蛋 (small), $9
The egg is really fried till very crispy and it goes very well with the chilli served alongside. The oysters looks fresh but is not my cup of tea so I did not eat it 😛
Mee Goreng马来炒面 (small), $4.50
We ordered this just for taste and it was good! Thumbs up!
Cereal Prawns (Small)麦片虾, $13
Close up of the generous serving of the cereal and the big prawns.
Prawn Paste Chicken (small) 虾酱鸡, $9
Very good too!
Braised Beancurd with Assortment 红烧豆腐 (small), $8
Must have veg right? 🙂
Sambal Cuttle Fish Kang Kong (Medium), $13
Our total bill was $117 for around 10pax (not too hungry pax!) and I think the food here is not bad. People who are bidding for the Ang Mo Kio Court BTO will be happy to know that they have one good zichar in their estate!
