The Boiler @ Novelty Bizcentre, Tai Seng

Celebrating a happy occasion with a seafood feast which is made even happier with a Free Boston Lobster from The Boiler! 🙂

The Boiler is located in an industrial estate and may be ulu to some but ever since there is the circle line, the place has been made more accessible! It is just a short 5 -10 min walk from Tai Seng Mrt station and if you are driving, there are parallel parking along the road side or you can park in the Novelty Bizcentre where The Boiler is located.

Menu – Live Lobster

Menu – Pick your seafood.

There are 3 different bags to choose from – Boiler’s Bombdiggity Bag, Boiler’s Duo Bag or Boiler’s Duo Plus with varying seafood combination. To qualify for the birthday promotion that is on-going till the December 2017, we had to order the Boiler’s Bombdiggity bag which is suitable for sharing for 4 persons.

The Boiler’s Bombdiggit Bag is great as it has all the available varieties in the bag – Dungeness/seasonal crab, prawens, mussels, clams, sausages, pearl corn and bun.

There are 4 sauces to choose from to go with the seafood bag and we went for Boiler’s Signature – The Works (mild).

Menu – Mains, Starters, Sides and Desserts.

Menu – Drinks (alcoholic, beer, ciders)

Menu – Drinks

There are a few Boiler Signature drinks that you can opt for to go with the seafood. For a clearer dinner menu without the price, please click here. For lunch menu and set menus, please click here.

Signature Lychee-Lime Mint Freeze, $7.50++

I like this drink as it was very freshing but due to SIngapore’s hot weather, the ice melted way too fast to be able to enjoy the drink slowly 😛

Kronenbourg Blanc Tower (3L) – $75++

Perfect drink to party with seafood! 😛

A pity there were no earlier slots for us to enjoy the happy hour promo price of $48++.

Aprons that we were provided with to prevent splatter on our clothes from attacking the seafood with our bare hands!

They have also given new definitions to acronyms that we are familiar with too!

LOL: Lovin’ Our Lobsters
TGIF: Thank God It’s Fresh
BFF: Boiling Fresh Forever
TLC: Tender Lovin’ Crab

Sweet Potato Fries, $6.90++

Close up of the Sweet potato fries.

Love it but wish it can be cut more squarish than rectangular.

Crispy Bun (part of the Boiler’s Bombdiggity Bag) – Good to sauce up the sauces!

Signature Fish and Chips, $12.90++

Another view of the 3 pipping hot deep-fried fish on the bed of chips!

The fish is so lightly battered, pipping hot and is so fresh and juicy that I feel it is an item that you must order here!!! Way to good to miss and thankful that I ordered it!

Here comes our orders!

Free Lobster! (worth $75++)

Another view of the very fresh and big Boston lobster! 😀

Our seafood peeping out from the Boiler’s Bombdiggity Bag, $149++

Top view of the Dungeness Crab, Prawns, mussels, clams, sausages and pearl corn in the bag with mild the works sauce.

Close up of the seafood in the bag!

Fishing out the seafood to get them to pose for a picture! LOL…

There was 1 dungeness crab, 10 prawns, 4 sections of awfully sweet pearl corn and uncountable mussels, clams and sausages as everyone dirtied their hands to fish for the item they like! The Works sauce tasted a little like our laksa sauce which went well with our seafood.

Cross-section of the lobster taken with my phone in the plastic cover provided.

The lobster was nicely cut up so that I could just tear apart half of the body! Look at that meat!!!

The lobster was soo fresh and goes very well with the garlic butter sauce that we opted for.

All gone!

Our meal came up to $295.78 after 10% service charge and 7% GST which was pretty decent for the amount of seafood and drinks we had. Happy ambience, friendly staff and fresh seafood makes this a great place for catchup with friends/family as you throw all caution to the wind and start digging into very fresh seafood with your hands! 😛
