This product from Hokkaido,Japan is so well known that I think I do not need to give it anymore introduction. 🙂
This was taken at the very first highway oasis (stops for toilet/food/stretching break) we stopped by and the first time we experienced the Japanese hospitality – generous chunks of food to try! There is no tasting for the Chocolat Blanc et Langue de Chat but you can try the competitors. 😛 I did not buy the chocolate here as I was afraid the chocolate may melt and I do not want to hand carry it as we change hotel almost everyday!
The box of Shiroi Koibito Cookies that I bought at the farm mart at Mitsui Outlet Shopping Mall (our last stop with our driver) for ¥3805 (~SGD$47) to share with my colleagues.

Taking away the paper box to reveal a very pretty box! I did not know that the package I bought actually consisted of a metal tin gift box! So now after finishing the chocolate, I still have something for keepsake 🙂
Opening up the box to reveal the cookies! I had chosen a box of 18 dark & 36 white chocolate cookies. The well-loved ones are the white chocolate in the french baked cookies. The chocolate ones are something different which I decided to try.

The Shiroi Koibito Chocolate Cookies can be purchased at all the touristy places and also at the airport for that last minute buy. 🙂 There is no need to compare prices in Hokkaido as they are the same everywhere! This is something that I learnt at the end of the trip from my travel mates! So you have heard it loud and clear here and your shopping spree can start the minute you step into the first shop! 🙂
If love the cookies so much, you can check out how it is made at the Shiroi Koibito Park where their factory is located and also try your hand at making the cookies and customising some souvenirs for takeaway. I did not visit it this time as my travel mates were not interested and we were pretty short of time in Sapporo so had to give it a missed. Will visit it the next time I am there!
