Poh Cheu Handmade Soon Kueh . Ang Ku Kueh 寳洲手工制作筍粿红龟粿 @ Bukit Merah Lane 1

How time flies! It has been one year since I last ate these beautiful Ang Ku Kuehs but I did not manage to find time to post them till now! *OMG* hahaha

Poh Cheu is located at Block 128 Bukit Merah Lane 1 and it is within the same area as the famous Alexandra Village (AV) Food Centre.  There are so many good food to eat in this area and the ang ku kuehs and soon kueh at Poh Cheu is one that you cannot miss. They have been here for so many years… think my fingers and toes put together are not enough to indicate the number of years! A very established name, try to avoid the queues that form at lunch time as there are many people who come here specially just to buy the yummilicious kuehs.

View of the kitchen while waiting to place my orders.

All the kuehs are freshly prepared by hand here which makes it one of the stall to go to. Nowadays, the making of many of the traditional kuehs have been replaced by machines and there goes the warm and unique taste of the food made by hand. This industry is really labour intensive and not many youngsters are willing to slog it out.  For more about the stall, you can check out their website here

Beautiful kuehs on display and it just makes me want to order one of everything! (*above pic is 2016 prices)

My order! So pretty right?

I think I got almost one of everything. Not only do they look pretty, they tasted great too! The skin is thin and the filling is so generous! (***let me go find that cross section pic :P)

Gorgeous photos that shows everything that they sell! I need more stomach space……
