One Michelin Star Soya Sauce Chicken Rice

Finally trying out Hawker Chan Soya Sauce Chicken Rice after he was awarded One Michelin Star in the Singapore Michelin Guide in 2016! What was better was I did not have to queue at the stall to taste this as I bought this chicken rice from my company’s Charity Event at only $5! 🙂

Boxes of hot chicken rice with the different chicken parts clearly visible under the covers – drumsticks, wings, breast and thigh.

The box of thick tender chicken breast meat with rice and the sauce on the side that we had to collect to self-drizzle on the rice, to your liking.

The chilli sauce that was not too spicy and the sweet savoury sauce that I must have my rice coated with! yum yum yum yum yum…. 😛

I must say that the skin of the chicken was really nice as it has soaked up the sauce and almost melt in your mouth. It was hard to resist eating the chicken skin although I had no qualms peeling them off every time I eat chicken rice. 😛 The chicken meat was tender and the sauce is a must drizzle despite the amount of calories that it is going to add to my meal! 😛 It also came with some soya bean on the side. First time I am seeing this combination but I have no complains since it adds some variety to my lunch.

Not sure which outlet the guys bought the chicken rice from as Hawker Chan has sold his recipe and expanded to 2 more outlets, but for me, this was one packet of delicious Soya Sauce Chicken Rice worth the one star!
