Mee Rebus @ Tanjong Pagar Complex

Been a long time since I had eaten Mee Rebus. If you are craving for variety, this would probably not be able to satisfy your cravings.

Mee Rebus is a very simple local dish that can be found in Singapore and Malaysia. It is basically egg noodles drizzled with curry like gravy and served with a hard boiled egg, beansprouts, some firm or fried beancurd, cut green chilli and lime. The crux of this dish is the gravy which distinguishes it from stall to stall.

My Mee Rebus ($2) with otah ($1) from the Nasi Padang Stall at Tanjong Pagar Complex. The consistency of the gravy here is just right such that it coats the egg noodles nicely and you can taste it with every mouthful. It is neither too thick nor too thin and the combination of the spices and the dried shrimps blends together perfectly, making me slurp it all up! 🙂

Recommended if you want a simple, cheap and quick meal. 🙂
