Flavoursome food is the order of the day due to the hazy weather. 😛
The original intention was to eat healthy sliced fish soup at Tanjong Pagar Mrt but for whatever reason, we were lured to let’s eat! with its greater variety of food. 😛
There are 2 different counters, one for the noodles and the other for rice.
The Noodles Section
The rice section
We were more attracted by the noodles section as it features Signature Teochew Noodles, Fishball Noodles, Mushroom Soft Rib Noodles and Laksa!
There are also mushroom minced pork noodles!
I am lured by this huge pot of fiery looking gravy!

Some of the sauces to make the noodles

The sliced meat, minced meat, meat balls and spring onions.
My Laksa, $4 with the add-on of a lime juice at $1
Close up of the lime juice (made from syrup).
Not too sour nor too sweet.
Close up of the cockles in the laksa
Not many stalls have hum (aka cockles) in their laksa nowasdays due to health reason and personally, I do not eat the cockles too but wanted them in the soup just for the taste 🙂 The gravy was very nice and most of us almost emptied the bowl of the gravy 😛 Ingredients wise, there were slices of fish cake, deep-dried bean curd and cockles in the laksa. Very simple and filling but for the price, it does make us crave for the cheap and good laksa by the 2 uncles who used to sell them at Tanjong Pagar Complex.
If you know of good Laksa in the tanjong Pagar area, do let me know! 🙂
