Where in the world can you get All Day Breakfast in such a zen and tranquil environment?
La Ristrettos is located on Level 8 at Novena Medical Centre and it is almost impossible to imagine that there will be a cafe nestled among the private medical suites.
The huge coffee roasting machine right beside the Cashier with the All Day Breakfast Menu behind. You can choose from Grande, Breakfast Bruschetta, Panini Coteletta, Mushroom Fritata, Smoked Duck Breast, Breakfast Crab Cake, Baked Eggs and Beans, Smoked Salmon and Piadina Romagnola.
It is pretty cramp in the cafe so baby prams, strollers or bags of shopping are not recommended.

There is a huge table at the center of the cafe and it is almost fully occupied when I visited at 3pm. After an unexpected medical emergency at the hospital, sharing a table with strangers is the last thing on my mind.

Thankfully there were some seats outdoor where I could take a breather.
Breakfast Crab Cake, $15 nett
Ordered something for my stomach, empty since 5am. Totally not hungry but decide to be sensible and try to feed myself.

The yolk was nicely poached but the whites were a tad overdone.
Caffe Latte, $5.50 nett
A perfect cuppa to perk me up. Robust and strong, just what I needed.
My messy plate with a little of everything – the crab cake, mashed potatoes, bacon, avocado, poached egg, spinach and wild rockets. The parmeasan pesto dotted around the plate provided extra savouriness to the plain mashed potatoes and crab cake. For $15 nett, definitely worth it. 🙂
