Jack’s Place @ Safra Punggol

A wow experience for diners seemed to be a must these days with a lot of food set on Fire right in front of your eyes!

It has been long time since I visited Jack’s Place and am pleasantly surprised by the menu  at Jack’s Place at Safra Punggol. For a restaurant that has survived so many years in Singapore and is celebrating their 50years, I must say they have really keep up with times with their menu and even tying up with popular ice cream brand- Udders!

Jack’s Place also caught up with the salted egg craze by offering their own Salted Egg Lava Chocolate Pudding with fruit Compote. 😛

Garlic Bread with our Soup of the Day – Cream of Chicken

Curly Truffle Fries Topped with Parmesan Chesse, $10.80++

Nice curly fries but I did not really taste nor smell any truffle in it.

House red wine, $6++ and the La Bastide Chardonnay, $6.50++   which could be added on with the order of our steaks.

Can you tell which is which? The house red wine was sweeter and easier to drink for peeps do not usually drink.

Flambé Escargots in Shells (6pcs), $10.50++

Looks like a happy food as it is basically fat-free, contains vitamin E, is rich in iron and helps improves your mood. There is a 1 for 1 promotion if you pay with Citibank Credit Card so it makes ordering this even happier! 😛

There were some crispy garlic by the side and the friendly service staff explained how to eat it with the escargot to give it a better flavour!

Jack’s Special Fried Rice with Cripsy Chicken Cutlet, $12.50++ – Stir-fried rice with chicken cutlet, shrimps, eggs and mixed vegetables served with salad sambal chilli and topped with a fried egg.

NZ Silver Fern Farms Lamb Chops, $21.80++ – 3 thick cut lamb chops!

NZ Silver Fern Farms Ribeye Steak, $23.80++ – 180g of ribeye steak served with a baked potato topped with sour cream, spring onions and bacons bits.

Since it was served on a hot plate, if you do not want overly done beef, my suggestion is to opt for 2 levels rarer than what you would normally order unless you eat so quickly that the hotplate has no chance to cook  your beef further! 😛

Grilled chicken chop, salmon and prawn served with baked potato, still on flames!

Our Udders Ice Cream at a toup of $1++ each for the set which consisted on our soup, dessert and tea/coffee.

You can probably skip this and order more udder’s ice cream. haha

Our total bill was $194.56 after factoring in 10% service charge and 7% GST for 4 adults and we were really full after the meal! Will be back to try the other combos and some of their on-going promotions!
