Issan Thai Food 泰国东北美食 @ Tanjong Pagar Plaza Market

Finally laid my hands on this Phad Thai! Did not manage to eat it before the food center closed for renovation in 2013 but thankfully, they are back after the renovation and I finally get to eat it!

Issan Thai is back at Tanjong Pagar Market Food Center but is not at its old location. Fans of this thai food stall do not have to worry as you should have no difficulty spotting the green signage and long queues (usually with ang mos in between) ;p Prices of the dishes have increased by $0.50 (if I am not wrong) after the renovation.

I did not have to wait long for my food as there were only about 10 people in front of me at around 12.50pm. As my order was prepared together with another lady’s who was right in front of the queue, I got my food first though there were 2 persons after her, in front of me.

My Phad Thai, $4 as it was served. Looks like there is nothing but rice noodles and some beancurd right? Lol.. Do not be fooled..

The prawns are buried in the noodles. That is my Phad Thai after mixing the freshly squeezed lime juice and fishing out the prawns. 😛

A very enjoyable dish that could be accompanied with a hot and spicy tom yam soup to up the shiok factor! Hee… Will definitely be back to try the other dishes!
