Ichiban Boshi @ Great World City

Ichiban Kaisen Bento at Ichiban Boshi!

Ichiban Boshi at Great World City is located at Basement 1, just a few steps away from the famous Garett Popcorn. We have been to this mall so many times but this is the first time we are patronising Ichiban Boshi here.  I guess the chawamushi I had recently just triggered another round of Ichiban Boshi craze 😛

Every Ichiban Boshi offers a signature menu for a different dining experience but seasonal promotions like the Sakura Matsuri this season we had at the MLBM outlet is available here too.

The Specialty at Great world City and Jurong Point is Sakana (Fresh Fish) so for peeps who like to eat fish, this is one outlet you should visit.

As I had some food at a baby shower and was not too hungry, this Asari Butter Yaki caught my eye 🙂

Looks like something healthy and light that can “fill the gaps in the teeth” like what the Chinese would say when they are looking for something to snack on 😛

While I was browsing the menu, PB has already started his sashimi spree!

Hon Mag Aka Sashimi (5 peices), $14.90++ & Kajiki Belly Sashimi (5 peices), $13.90++

Tako Sashimi (7 pieces), $10.50++

The best part of it is – I only got to eat the shiso leaf! He never leave any for me! Sob Sob!

The Ichiban Kaisen Bento, $27.90++  that PB ordered.

Looks deceiveing little at the beginning as the trays were stacked up.

Expanding the trays and the small table we are at is full!

There were assorted sashimi, snow crab tempura, teriyaki Chilean seabass, scallop with mayonnaise cod roe, seasoned seaweed, chawanmushi, rice, miso soup and fruit. So many seafood in one tray!

Scallops with mayonnaise cod roe.

Full of roe but I do not know how to appreciate it so PB got to eat it 😛

My Love – Chawamushi!

The Japanese Rice

Miso Soup with silken beancurd and seaweed.

Fruits – Orange.

Usually fruits in season are served and in this case, it is orange which we both do not fancy.. 😛

Teriyaki Chilean Seabass.

Be  careful when eating this as there were some bones in ours.

The assorted sashimi – yellowtail, tuna and salmon.

Seasoned Seaweed.

The snow crab tempura that PB insisted that I have.

Dipping into the tempura sauce before devouring it!

The authentic crab stick! Yumz

Our clams came really late.

Tada! Asari Butter Yaki, $10.90++ – Butter clams & assorted mushrooms in teriyaki sauce

Close up of the clams and assorted mushrooms.

The clams were very clean and it is very tasty with the teriyaki sauce.

The shells from our 15 clams 🙂

Still not enough to pile high like when we first had clams together 😛

My way of enjoying the clams with a little rice, mushroom and seven spice powder. nom nom nom..

Interior with the counter in the background where you can see the chefs in action.

Interior from where I was seated.

It could have been a cheap meal if not for PB’s Sashimi. Our total bill inclusive of 2 ocha ($1.20++ each), GST And service charge came up to $94.75 and PB happily waved his apple watch (tie to his AMEX Card) to pay for the meal.
Stunning moment for the staff and shiok moment for him I guess. LOL.
