Exploring the new wing at the newly renovated Suntec City Convention Centre for a not so expensive place to fill our stomachs, we decided to pop into Guksu after seeing that they have very affordable set lunches to choose from.
The hotpot lunch sets and signature chicken meals that you can choose from. Prices range from $8.90++ to 13.90++ which is very affordable considering its location.
Menu – Hotpot Lunch Sets from $11.90.
You can choose from 7 broths and 5 different combination sets consisting of mushroom, chicken, pork, seafood or beef and complete the meal with either rice or noodles. They are individual portions so you do not worry about hygiene issues 😛

Menu – Korean Fried Chicken ranging from flavours like classic to soy to spicy! Take your pick from either wings or drums.
They have watermelon soju too but since we need to head back to work after lunch, drinking is a no-no.
The army stew here looks SO GOOD! Need to gather an army (I’m Joking, 3-4 friends would be good) to share this!

Black sesame seed, deep fried shallots, crusted peanut, chopped garlic, sesame oil, chopped chillis, spring onions and light/dark soy sauce to make your dips.

A col’s Jjajang Meon – Korean Black Bean paste, pork belly, cucumber, green peas, onion, boiled egg, home made noodle
A col’s K-Pasta, Carbonara ddeok bok ki, $9.90++.
It is actually a pasta made with Korean Rice Cakes instead of spaghetti, topped with a parmegiano cream sauce, black pepper, bacon, button mushroom and a sunny side up. Interesting!
Another col’s Vongole ddeok bok ki, $9.90++ – Korean rice cakes with white clam, clam juice, garlic, chilli, spring onion and olive oil.

Very delicious and the restaurant even provided us with plastic gloves to eat the wings with so that we do not dirty our hands! Thumbs up!
Cannot remember how many wings there was. All I remembered was I ate a lot! I guess there were at least 12 wings there?? You definitely would not stop at one!
Gamja Hobak Jeon, $11.90++ – Crispy potato zucchini Korean Pancake, mix salad toss with Korean plum chilli.
Nothing to shout out loud about.
Side dish that a col ordered – Kim Mari, $4++.
Very interesting snack which is deep fried korean seaweed wrapped with glass noodles and mayonnaise.
Pretty unforgettable meal and definitely a good one. If you are in Suntec looking for where to eat, this is one good option. Especially great if you are in big groups as the Korean Fried Chickens (KFC) are great for sharing although I find it a tad ex. The Hankook style stew looks like a must try too!
