elemen 元素 @ Millenia Walk

The first time that I am dining at a vegetarian restaurant with monks and nuns in it, without selecting the food that I am eating, and I must say I am pleasantly surprised and happy at how cleansing and nice the food was! Also thanks to PB’s buddies for doing the ordering for us and I must say, they have made great choices!

elemen – my earth diet.

A choice of restaurant decided by PB’s buddy due to one of them turning vegetarian recently!  There is the option of 5 course meal from Monday to Thursday and Friday (lunch only) for $23.80++ or the 8 course set at $32.80++.

As it was last orders when we arrived at 8.45pm, PB’s buddies have already made the orders for us and we did not have to rack our brains but they did have to work theirs to make the correct choices for us. I must say that it was not an easy task as after scrutinising the menu post meal, I realised that there were so many options for each course and we actually had a 5 course meal! Thankfully I did not have to rack my brains over what to choose as all the options look so good! Shall let some of the photos that I took speak for themselves!

Starter: The elemen Appetiser

Mushroom with edamame

Sesame Tofu in Sesame Sauce topped with Alfafa.

Very nice!

Cherry tomato in some sauce that was sweet and nicely chilled.

Salad – Mushroom Salad.

3 different types of mushroom. Not too sure what sauce it was cooked in but they were nice too!

Salad – Spinach Salad

Salad – Quinoa Salad

Soup – Wild Mushroom Cream Soup with Truffle Oil

Soup – Chilled Fruits Soup

A very interesting soup which most of us could never have imagined.

Mains – Japanese Curry Noodles with Beancurd Roll

After pouring all the noodles into the curry.

Main – Sizzling Quinoa Brown Rice.

Gotta stir it to prevent it from burning at the bottom!

Main – Oven-Baked Bamboo Shoot with Aglio Olio

Main –Traditional Pomodoro Pizza

Main – Tempura Tofu with Avocado Roll

Drinks – Yuzu Mint Mojito

Strips on yuzu on top.

Drinks – Sea Salt Coffee (Hot)

Dessert – Snow Osmanthus with Grass Jelly

Dessert – Coconut-Infused Jelly with Watermelon Sorbet

Dessert – Raspberry Vanilla Dome

Cross section of the raspberry dome. Taste better when eaten with the crumbs served by the side.

Overall a nice dining experience and despite having a 5 course meal, my body did not feel loaded. Instead, it felt pretty cleansed by the food I had and I love how all the ingredients were in their real state, not artificially made like mock meats (though I do like some of them too!) and so intricately presented.  Definitely recommended to bring the whole family here for a healthy meal. 🙂
