Zichar in air-conditioned comfort where you do not have to jostle with the crowd nor deal with the food smell after eating? Diamond Kitchen at Science Park Drive will be the place for you though it is a little ulu but people working in this area should be familiar with it as they are open for lunch too!
Love the expanse of the place and the spacious interior of the restaurant.

Champagne Pork Ribs 香槟排骨($16/24/32)++
Close up of the pipping hot, deboned pork.
Salted Egg Sotong 咸蛋苏东 ($16/24/32)++
The sotong felt more like tender chicken pieces well coated with the salted egg sauce. Though I am not a squid person, I do like this dish very much!
Superior Stock Clam Bee Hoon 啦啦米粉($16/24/32)++
Close up of the lala bee Hoon
My serving of the bee Hoon.
Fresh and good! Just lacking some crispy pork lard!
Stir Fried Sweet Potato Leaf with salted Fish 砂煲梅香薯叶 ($14/21/28)++
This is the first time I am seeing this combination. The salted fish is not the overpowering kind and the dish was quite nice overall but I felt the portion was a little small for $21++.
Fish Maw Chicken Soup 鱼鳔菜园鸡汤 ($24/48)++
It was served in a big pot and the service staff helped to dish out a bowl for each of us. The balance was left in the pot to keep warm and for us to top up. The soup tasted sweet but still needed a bit more brewing to bring out the collagen from the chicken.
Sauna Prawns 竹筒虾($28/42/56)++
Giving the prawns a stir so that they cook evenly.
Some of the prawns on the rocks.
We felt that the prawns were a little too big to cook properly in the sauna style as some of the head were still runny. If the size were a little smaller, it would be perfect!
Fried Bun (10 pieces), $10++
Perfectly done! Crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside! They look big in the picture but they are actually quite small and you probably would not get enough of them with the sauce from the chilli crab!
Chilli Crab 辣椒螃蟹 ( 2 for $30++)
Close up of the chilli crab.
Decently size at about 500-600grams.
Another view of the 2 crabs cooked in chilli sauce.
Crab – Stir Fried with Curry leaf 干香螃蟹 ( 2 for $30++)
Close up of the crabs in their signature sauce – Gan Xiang.
A little spicy but this is nicer than the chilli crab if I have to choose.
Our damage for the night.
Overall, a value for money crab promotion and a pretty nice place to enjoy zichar food in restaurant comfort at a pricing that is in between the two.
