Menu

The weekend Breakfast menu looks good too!

I know where to go if I need to go back to office on a weekend 😛

Menu – Desserts, Coffee/Tea, Beers, Slushie, Cocktail, Wine and Soft Drinks

For more of their menu, click here

My Lychee Mint Slushie, $7.50++

Not much taste in it. I think the coffee would have been a better option.

Soup of the day

We were told it was Cream of Chicken Soup when placing the order but when it was served, it was actually a Tomato Soup. I guess a lot of orders would have been changed had they known that it was a tomato soup prior to ordering. 😛

Salad as part of the set lunch

Feedback given to me was that there was no dressing on the salad. :O

Ala Carte Scallop and Crab Meat Pasta, $28++ – Tossed with Spicy Salted Egg Yolk Butter, Sauteed Onions, Garlic and Chilli.

Close up of the Scallop and Crab Meat Spaghetti.

There was only half a scallop and some crab meat scattered in that pasta. Not too sure if the ingredients were reduced due to the UOB Promotion but I am definitely wondering if the usual portion looks like that. If yes, then it is really a very pricey pasta.

Ala Carte – Grilled Fish Pasta, $26++ – Tossed with orange Ginger Butter, Sauteed onions, garlic and chilli

My Ala Carte Laksa Slipper Lobster Pasta, $28++  – Tossed with Spicy Laksa Butter, Sauteed Onions, Garlic, Chilli. Topped with Grilled Pineapple.

The portion for the penne was a little small though the taste and texture was OK. The grilled pineapple was missing which I did not realise until now and if this is the portion I get for paying $28++, it is indeed too much. Presentation wise, we were pretty much expecting to see the slipper lobster though the restaurant has lovingly de-shelled it (2 pieces as above) for our convenience.

Set Lunch – Spicy Ribs with Pasta

Set Lunch – Fish and Chips with Fries

Close up of the Fish and Chips.

Looks good but the amount of fries looks a tad pathetic.

Set Lunch – Chicken Cutlet with Fries

Our mischievous boy actually counted and announced there were 8 sticks of fries. LOL

I like the container that the hot and cold water were served in. Very old School.

Tapas – Chicken Skewer, $14++ – 6 pieces of grilled chicken skewers with mustard butter, served with a bed of mesclun salad.

Set Lunch – Spicy Pork Ribs with rice

This looks good but it came really late!

Tapas – Spam Fries, $14++ – Drizzled with Salted Egg Yolk Butter

Close up of the Spam Fries.

Cant go wrong with luncheon meat. 😛

Truffle Mushroom Cheese Fries, $12++ – Straight-cut fries served with sauteed wild mushrooms and truffle butter topped with melted cheese

Top view of the fries served in a bamboo basket.

Personally I would prefer the sauce to be served by the side so that you can dip as much or as little as you want. 😀

Chicken Lolli, $14++ – Deep Fried Chicken Drumlets (5 pieces) tossed with sauteed onions, capscium with lemon chilli butter

Was looking forward to eating this after seeing some of the recommendation online but after tasting it, found the chicken a little over fried and the sauce too abruptly spicy for my liking.

Set Lunch – Stir-fry Chicken with Rice

Set Lunch – Wrap.

Not too sure what it was as a col helped to take this pic and she was starving by the time her wrap came as all of us had finished our food.

Overall, a nice place to chill for lunch with the on-going promotions but the portion and timing needs to be improved. A time difference of 30min from the first main to the last main served is not really acceptable. The small kitchen needs some help to push out food quickly to serve the lunch crowd in the CBD area.
